Pegasus and Poseidon! #NationalLottery Community Fund
We recently hosted another wonderful watercolour and mixed media workshop at Shorelark; this time, Kat was joined by Finola and Alex and their caregivers Henri, Bruce and Stan. The day was filled with creativity and excitement as we explored various artistic techniques.
Our palette for the day included watercolours, Brusho, and inks. We even experimented with twigs as drawing tools, resulting in beautifully atmospheric outlines that we then painted into. This unconventional approach added a unique texture and depth to our artwork.
Finola's recently retired Canine Partner, Orbit, was also present, adding a touch of canine charm to our creative session. While Finola and Alex worked diligently on their masterpieces, Orbit enjoyed a relaxing day filled with treats and peaceful naps.
Finola's chosen subjects were truly inspiring: a majestic black Pegasus with striking blue eyes and the powerful image of Poseidon parting the sea with his trident. Finola and Alex produced truly unique and eye-catching paintings that captured the essence of these mythical subjects.
We're grateful for the opportunity to host such enriching workshops, bringing together individuals to explore their artistic potential in a supportive environment.
This wonderful day of creativity and community was made possible by National Lottery players through the Community Fund.
These workshops continue to demonstrate the positive impact of art in bringing people together and fostering a sense of achievement and well-being. We look forward to more inspiring sessions in the future!
