FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Shorelark Arts CIC Awarded National Lottery Community Funding to Continue Free Creative Workshops for Well-being Across East Lothian
Shorelark Arts CIC is pleased to share the wonderful news that we have once again received support from the National Lottery Awards for All Community Fund.
This funding will enable us to continue delivering our Creative Workshops for Well-being programme for another year in the East Lothian community.
We are truly grateful for the opportunity to maintain a welcoming, inclusive space where creativity and connection can flourish.
Our workshops aim to inspire, uplift, and support people from all walks of life, whether you're seeking a moment of calm, a chance to reconnect socially, or a creative outlet during difficult times.
We believe everyone has the right to enjoy a creative experience, regardless of skill level or background.
Thanks to this renewed support, we’re excited to announce that this year’s programme will expand to include opportunities for seasonal creative writing (poetry) workshops alongside our popular art sessions.
As always, our sessions will remain beginner-friendly, relaxed, inclusive and accessible, providing a ‘creative time out’ to boost individual and community well-being.
We’re also looking forward to showcasing the creative voices of our participants through pop-up art exhibitions at the Cockenzie Hub, where we’ll display community artworks and foster a sense of pride and connection.
A huge thank you to all Shorelark supporters. Your encouragement, participation, and enthusiasm have helped shape and sustain our programme over the years. We also wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to our project partners and volunteers, whose ongoing contributions ensure every session is welcoming and supportive.
The dates for our upcoming free events will be announced over the coming weeks, and we look forward to welcoming you back to the easel, sketchbook…and poetry page soon.
With creativity and gratitude,
Kat Healy (Founder/Artistic Director)
