National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) — Summer Creativity in East Lothian

What better way to celebrate the long summer days than gathering together to paint? We've had a wonderful start to our National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) watercolour sessions here at Shorelark, and the energy in the studio has been simply brilliant.

With summer in full swing, we turned to the season's abundance for inspiration. We even had a fun Watercolour Wander... session and rambled through the brambles in Gullane, followed by our Watercolour Cafe in the recreation hall. Working with fresh, luminous summer colour palettes the groups have produced some stunning work. I was delighted by the confidence and creativity — everyone brought something unique to each of the sessions.

These community sessions are such a special part of what we do at Shorelark. There's always great chat, plenty of laughter, and a real sense of people supporting one another. Whether it's a first attempt at watercolour or a return visit to build on growing skills.
