National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) — Winter Watercolours in East Lothian

It  might be cold and dark outside, but inside the Shorelark studio it was warm, bright, and buzzing with creativity! Our winter National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) sessions have been a wonderful way to chase away the winter blues.

Winter offers such a unique and beautiful palette for watercolour, and we made the most of it — exploring frosty landscapes, bare winter branches, East Lothian coastlines in grey and silver light.

There's something particularly nurturing about gathering together to create at this time of year. We hosted a huuuuge community watercolour cafe at the Recreation Hall in Gullane!

These sessions provide a warm, welcoming space to try something new, reconnect with a hobby, or simply enjoy some good company, and that matters enormously during the longer winter months.

If you'd like to join us for an upcoming FREE community session, you can find all the details here: https://shorelark.org/pages/free-community-workshops-events

All materials are provided and sessions are suitable for all skill levels — complete beginners are always very welcome. These community gatherings are made possible by National Lottery players. 🎨
