A Glorious Afternoon with Áine Divine at Shorelark Studio

This month the Shorelark Studio was filled with warmth, inspiration, and creative spirit as we welcomed the incredible Aine Divine for a very special painting demonstration, funded by the National Lottery Community Fund.

This free community event was attended by members of the Shorelark community from across East Lothian. Aine's passion for expressive painting in mixed-media and her open, intuitive approach to painting lit up the studio. Watching her work live—embracing, colour, bold marks and subtle shifts—was truly mesmerising.

Her generosity in sharing her process, answering questions, and encouraging everyone to trust their own creativity was deeply appreciated. The atmosphere in the studio was one of quiet awe and friendly connection—a space where creativity and community met in harmony.

Moments like these are why we do what we do at Shorelark: creating accessible, welcoming spaces where people can gather, be inspired, and feel part of something meaningful. We’re so grateful to Aine for her time and talent, and to the National Lottery players for making this event possible.
