Winter Open Studio: A Celebration of Community Creativity
This December, Shorelark Studio opened its doors for our Winter Open Studio Day—a heartwarming celebration of the artwork created by our wonderful community over the past eight months.
The studio was filled with colour, texture, and imagination, showcasing pieces from our summer and autumn sessions. Visitors were treated to a beautiful and inspiring exhibition featuring work by adult carers, young carers, and community members from across East Lothian.
From vibrant watercolours to expressive mixed media pieces, the artwork reflected not only creative growth but also the personal journeys and connections made through our sessions.
The day was full of joy and conversation—a chance for participants to see their work displayed, connect with others, and feel part of something meaningful. It was also a moment to reflect on how creativity can be a powerful tool for well-being, self-expression, and community building.
We are incredibly proud of everyone who has participated in our workshops and are grateful to all who visited, supported, or volunteered. Thank you for being part of the Shorelark community—we hope to continue this important work into the new year, offering more opportunities for creativity, connection, and care.
