National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) — October Holiday Fun for All the Family!

October brought plenty of creativity to Shorelark Studio - and off-site in various community halls across East Lothian. We also held special family sessions during the October holidays. All were part of our community programme as part of our National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) programme, and what a joy it was!

With Halloween just around the corner, we leaned into the season with spooky pumpkins, autumn woodland creatures, cats and crows by moonlight. It was wonderful to see children and adults painting side by side, sharing ideas and encouraging each other. The creativity in the room was abundant, and the results were absolutely brilliant.

Family sessions have such a lovely atmosphere. There's something really special about watching younger participants dive in fearlessly, often inspiring the adults around them to be a little bolder with their brushwork! All ages and all abilities are genuinely welcome — no experience needed, just a willingness to give it a go.
