Watercolour Wonder: Summer Immersion Day: Suitable for ALL Levels
These sessions are ideal for beginners or those who want to revisit the basics.
Our Introduction to Watercolour Workshop has had an upgrade for 2024. We'll be running this session from 10:00 - 14:30 at a slightly slower pace with a break in the middle.
We hope this will allow everyone ample time to work on simple technique as well as creating beautiful watercolour studies to take home.

These sessions are ideal for beginners or those who want to revisit the basics.
Join East Lothian artist Kat Healy for a watercolour immersion session in a supportive community space. Enjoy a relaxing, fun watercolour experience. Create unique watercolour studies, vignettes and greeting cards for friends and family.
Learn basic, accessible watercolour techniques. Enjoy building washes, try wet into wet, use simple, effective brush work. We'll look at some basic colour mixing, and experiment with texture mediums, and distress inks. Option to use stencilling and collage techniques also.
NO EXPERIENCE IS NECESSARY. All levels are welcome, with plenty of support from Kat.
These sessions will focus on seasonal subjects. Observing the land and seascapes of East Lothian. We'll look at sea, shore and rocks, skies, blooms and berries. We'll use accessible techniques with a playful semi-abstract, atmospheric approach.
Under 16 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

The cost of the session includes materials (high-quality artist-grade watercolour paper, tube paints and greeting cards) PLUS a small intro kit to take home (and ensure no paint is wasted!):
- A reusable sealable paint palette
- A no. 12 watercolour brush
- Cellulose watercolour paper
Refreshments will be available throughout.
