Book a 1:1 or small group session (up to 5 participants) in a bright, friendly professional community studio in Cockenzie, East Lothian. Situated right on the coast, near the Boat Shore, it's an ideal location to enjoy the beautiful coastal scenery and find inspiration.
About the Sessions
Hosted by East Lothian artist Kat Healy, participants are fully supported and encouraged to learn the wonder of watercolour and explore their creative voice. No experience is necessary, and all materials are included. Kat provides plenty of hands-on support and encouragement throughout the sessions.
You're welcome to experiment with the following studio materials:
- Watercolour
- Inks (acrylic)
- Gouache
- Soft Pastel, Pencils
- Charcoal, Graphite
- Texture mediums and pastes
Customisable Themes
Each session can be designed to suit a particular theme. Kat enjoys working with the seasons, as this encourages participants to work in a mindful way, connecting to their environment. Kat teaches with a unique approach, helping people learn a loose, expressive style.

The sessions are aimed at enhancing wellbeing with a focus on being in the moment, enjoying the process with no fixed outcome or expectations.
